Dan Katt

Dan Katt is the Senior Director of Global Content & Operations at BuzzFeed. Dan has over 9 years of experience as a legal assistant and paralegal. Dan has worked on complex, confidential, and time-sensitive multilingual international arbitrations, necessitating the proofing, revising, and translating of pleadings and correspondence for submission. Dan has also helped manage logistics for projects with teams of up to 20 attorneys, legal assistants, and interns from more than 5 offices worldwide. Dan has helped recruit and train 10 legal assistant hires and monitor their professional development. Prior to working at BuzzFeed, Dan worked at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP as a corporate paralegal. There they facilitated client meetings and large deal closings both autonomously and in case teams. Dan also maintained continuous communication with clients, third-party organizations, and governmental bodies in the execution of daily functions. Dan has also done extensive work in the firm’s pro bono group, specifically regarding francophone asylum cases. Dan helped spearhead an initiative to provide English lessons for clients in conjunction with an international NGO.

Dan Katt studied political science and government as well as French at New York University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree.
