Nicholas Gervais

Nicholas Gervais is a Senior Software Engineer at BuzzFeed, where responsibilities include building and maintaining innovative user-focused content distribution tools utilizing data and machine learning, as well as designing user interfaces with React. Nicholas joined BuzzFeed in February 2019, previously holding positions as a Software Engineer and Associate Software Engineer. During a software engineering internship at BuzzFeed, Nicholas established a new API using Python and gained experience in project proposal development. Earlier experiences include a software developer internship at TCF Bank, where Nicholas contributed to the creation of a MEAN stack web application and efficient development of a web application using Angular and Spring Boot. Additionally, as a Resident Advisor at the University of Minnesota Duluth, Nicholas facilitated events for students while fostering community and ensuring safety. Nicholas earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth and participated in a study abroad program in Computer Science at University College Dublin.
