Shaylah Brown is a seasoned journalist with a diverse background in reporting, focusing on culture, diversity, and identity. Currently serving as a Features Reporter for Trib Total Media, Shaylah covers communities of color and arts and culture. Prior experience includes a role as a Freelance Contributor for BuzzFeed, where Shaylah writes about pop culture and diversity, and as a Culture, Diversity & Identity Reporter for NJ.com, concentrating on various aspects of cultural identity. Additionally, Shaylah has contributed to Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK and has held various positions in research, production, and social media management throughout a career that began in 2011.
