Sam Makin has a diverse work experience in various financial and strategic roles. They started their career at Staycity Group as an Intern in Revenue Management in 2018. In 2019, they had internships at Roosevelt Management Company as a Strategic Opportunities Intern and at Leon Capital Group as a Private Equity and Strategy Intern, specializing in self-storage. They then joined Expedia Group as an Associate Analyst, focusing on Price Quality and Compliance from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they are working at BVA Group, where they have progressed from a Financial Analyst to a Senior Financial Analyst and now hold the position of Vice President.

Sam Makin attended Southern Methodist University from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus in Finance. In November 2018, they also obtained a certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist in Excel 2016 from Microsoft.
