John Red

John Red has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. John started their career as a Computer Programmer/Operator at CB&I, where they were responsible for program modification and implementation, as well as providing technical assistance to network users. John then moved on to LSAIDC FMCG B-Meg Satellite Plant as a Network Administrator/System Programmer, where they supervised LAN provision, installed and tested new software and hardware, and supported server systems. John continued their IT career at ECSCO Inc. FMCG B-Meg Satellite Plant as an Assistant Plant Manager/Quality Management Representative, where they implemented the ISO 9001:2000 standards and evaluated the Quality Management System data.

John later transitioned into the field of supply management and procurement. John worked at R.G.T.S (Al Raha Group for Technical Services) as a Project Supply Analyst/International Buyer, where they coordinated inventory management activities and initiated replenishment requisitions. John then joined Maersk Group - Liner Team as a Technical Purchaser, leading a group of purchasers, supervising their performance, and coaching new staff. At Maersk Drilling, John served as a Senior Purchaser/Team Lead and achieved target KPIs, provided feedback on process improvement, and participated in system rollouts for further efficiency.

John's most recent role was at BW Group as the Head of Procurement - Manila and Manager - BW LNG Procurement Operation. John managed and led the purchasing team in Manila, acted as a direct link to all business unit offices and counterparts globally, and was in charge of staff development, training, and performance management. John also had experience in daily purchasing activities, cost monitoring, and process improvement as a Senior Tech. Purchaser/Assistant Purchasing Manager.

John Red completed their MBA in Business Administration, Management, and Operations at Guthre Jensen - Global Training Consultant in 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma in Supply Chain Management from De La Salle University of St. Benilde in 2015. In 2001, they obtained a degree in E-Commerce with a focus on Web Design and Programming from STI College. In 1994, they graduated from the University of Batangas with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, specializing in Software. Before that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Batangas State University from 1989 to 1990. Additionally, John has obtained various certifications, including Strategic Sourcing Training from Accenture Strategy Norway in 2018, BLS-CPR/First Aid Training from the Philippine Red Cross in 2016, HSSE Learning Program from Maersk Drilling in 2014, and Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training from OPITO in 2013.
