Previously, Jang held roles as Lead Piping Engineer at 대우조선해양 and Piping Engineer at Chevron and VINSSEN, focusing on safety in design and hydrogen fuel cell systems. Jang holds a degree in chemical engineering from 영남대학교, which they completed in 1992.
