John Manfield has extensive work experience in operations and manufacturing roles. John currently holds the position of Director of Operations at B&W Tek, starting in December 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Operations Manager at Micross Components from July 2019 to February 2021.
At FARO Technologies, John worked for over 17 years in various roles. John started as an Optical Manufacturing Engineer in January 2002 and was later promoted to Manufacturing Supervisor and Manufacturing Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing manufacturing activities, managing teams, implementing Lean Manufacturing and other improvement initiatives.
Before joining FARO Technologies, John worked at SMX Corporation, where they served as an Optical Lab Supervisor and Senior Optical Lab Technician from August 1997 to January 2002. John'sresponsibilities included managing the optical sub-assembly department, performing calibration and certification of optical targets, and providing support to production and engineering.
John's early career included a position as a Design Engineer Co-op at Mobil Oil, where they assisted with the implementation of Rack Blending and Pipeline Shutdown systems at multiple locations.

John Manfield attended Delaware Technical Community College from 1994 to 1996, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. During the same time period, they also obtained a Diploma in Laser and Optics Studies from the same institution. Prior to that, John was a part-time student at Drexel University from 1987 to 1993, studying Electrical Engineering.
In addition to their formal education, John also holds several certifications. In 2018, they obtained CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Heart Association. In 2012, they completed the Basics of Supply Chain Management certification offered by APICS. In 2005, John obtained Lean Level One certification from the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC), as well as the Certified Manager in Process Excellence certification from Harrington Institute Inc.
