Chris Smith

Chris Smith is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in sustainable finance and advisory roles. Currently serving as the Managing Director and Global Head of Sustainable Sovereign Finance at Bankers without Boundaries since April 2013, Smith has also held director positions at Power Capital Partners, WENSARA CONSULTING LTD, and Capital Retail Developments. Previous roles include Operations Director at Breed Energy Limited and Principal at Arthur D. Little, where focus areas included sustainable finance and ESG risk. Smith's career began in various corporate banking roles at HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank, ultimately leading to positions such as Chief Operating Officer for The Prince's Rainforest Project. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Leicester.
