Jonathan Stephens

Jonathan Stephens, PE, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in nuclear engineering and management. Currently serving as Manager of Core Design at BWX Technologies, Inc., Jonathan leads a team focused on advanced core design projects including nuclear thermal propulsion and microreactors. Prior to this role, Jonathan spent 14 years at Framatome, overseeing multi-disciplinary engineering teams, managing a significant budgeting cost center, and pioneering engineering innovations through Agile methodologies and Lean Six Sigma practices. Jonathan’s earlier experience at Lockheed Martin involved naval nuclear reactor design and optimization. Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University of Lynchburg.
