Jonathan Witter

Jonathan Witter has extensive experience in nuclear engineering, currently serving as Chief Engineer and Advisory Engineer at BWX Technologies, Inc. since June 2011, focusing on the NASA Nuclear Thermal Propulsion project. Prior to this role, Jonathan worked as an Advisory Engineer at AREVA from April 2006 to June 2011, contributing to the US EPR (TM) design. Earlier in the career, Jonathan was a Nuclear Designer at KAPL, Lockheed Martin from February 1994 to March 2006, where responsibilities included advanced reactor physics design and leading a team for Space Power Systems nuclear systems design. Jonathan holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
