Abha Kumar has a long and varied career in IT and corporate management. Abha began their career in 1986 as Group Director of IT for The New York Times. In 1999, they moved to Dow Jones as Divisional CIO, where they were responsible for the leadership, vision and operational support of the global strategic portfolios of Market Data, Corporate Systems, Enterprise Portals, Business Intelligence, eCommerce and Off-shore services. In 2007, they joined Vanguard as Principal, Head of Vanguard's Shared Services, where they established Vanguard's Global Sourcing Office and led the first offshore shared-services operation. Abha also chaired Vanguard's Sourcing Executive Governance Committee. In 2020, Abha joined Notify.io as a Board Member and Shanti Bhavan as an Advisory Board Member. In 2021, they joined Vahanna Tech Edge Acquisition I Corp (NASDAQ: VHNAU) as an Independent Director (Compensation Committee Chair) and Shopelier as an Advisory Board Member. Abha is currently a Management Advisory Board Member for Berkeley College and an Independent Director for Bynry Inc. Abha is also a member of the CIO Roundtable at Fordham Gabelli School of Business.
Abha Kumar has a Masters in Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, a BA in Business from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Leading and Managing People Program from Columbia University.
