Chris Plummer

Chris Plummer is an experienced microbiologist with a strong background in antimicrobial product development and microbiology program management. Since January 2009, Chris has held the position of Head of Technology and Chief Microbiologist at Byotrol plc, focusing on the development of antimicrobial products. Prior to this role, Chris served as a Research Microbiologist at Unilever from 2006 to 2009, working on antimicrobial applications in surface care, skin care, and oral care. Chris earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Sheffield, where research centered on the microbial aetiology of infective endocarditis and the role of oral microorganisms. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Microbiology from the University of Central Lancashire.
