Andrew Quilpa

Lead Coach at Byte Back

Andrew considers Hampton Roads, Virginia his hometown, though he has also previously lived in Guam, Seattle, and San Diego. He earned his bachelor’s in psychology, with a minor in drama, from the University of Virginia. He began at Byte Back as an AmeriCorps member in 2011 and then joined the staff as an instructor for CompTIA IT Fundamentals and Microsoft Office Specialist courses. Since 2019, he has served as the learning lab coordinator, ensuring students get the resources they need to successfully earn their certifications. Andrew is also an actor in the DC metro area, with performances at local companies including The Coil Project, Rorschach Theatre, Adventure Theatre MTC, GraphicAudio, and many more. He is a regular writer and performer on “The Coil Project Variety Hour” on Takoma Radio. Andrew enjoys podcasting, gaming, discovering new restaurants, and collecting graphic novels.
