Bin Yan is a research scientist at ByteDance since September 2024, previously serving as a research intern. Prior to this, Bin Yan held positions as a student researcher at Google and an academic guest at ETH Zürich, focusing on real-time video instance segmentation and model adaptation techniques, respectively. Bin Yan contributed to the acceptance of two significant papers at ECCV2022 and CVPR2023 during an internship at ByteDance, with earlier research work on object tracking projects published at CVPR2021 and ICCV2021 while at Microsoft. Bin Yan is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Dalian University of Technology, where a Bachelor of Engineering was also obtained.
