Hans Wang

Hans Wang is a seasoned professional in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence, currently serving as a Senior ML Engineer at ByteDance since January 2024. Previously, Hans held various roles at Intel Labs from July 2015 to January 2024, including AI Research Scientist/Engineer, where responsibilities included leading partnerships to explore Federated Learning applications in the insurance sector and spearheading efforts to establish the HTTP-Attestible protocol. Hans also conducted groundbreaking research on deep learning in adversarial machine learning, achieving recognition in the NIPS Competition, and created a scalable machine learning system for malware detection. Early career experiences include serving as a Second Lieutenant in both the Coast Guard Administration and the Republic of China Army, as well as cofounding Shotwill. Hans holds degrees from National Taiwan University and UC Santa Barbara, specializing in networking, multimedia, computer engineering, and electrical engineering.
