Jitong Chen

Jitong Chen is a Tech Lead Manager at ByteDance since September 2018, focusing on foundation models for music, and also has experience as a Research Scientist in music applications involving audio, speech, and music understanding and generation. Prior to ByteDance, Jitong Chen worked at Baidu, Inc. from June 2017 to August 2018, specializing in end-to-end speech synthesis, neural voice cloning, and speech recognition. Jitong Chen's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, where contributions included supervised speech separation and enhancements in intelligibility in noisy environments. Additional experience includes a research internship at Google in 2016 on speech and language algorithms and a data science internship at MetaMind in 2015 focused on deep learning for natural language processing.
