Rong Ma is a data scientist at 字节跳动 since April 2021, with prior experience as a bioinformatics specialist at BD from September 2019 to April 2021, focusing on single-cell multi-omics. Previously, Rong Ma served as a graduate research fellow at Cleveland Clinic from January 2017 to January 2018, where responsibilities included establishing a metagenomics analysis pipeline to investigate taxonomical and metabolic changes after the removal of specific complement proteins, integrating experimental and next-generation sequencing data for hypothesis formulation, and independently designing hypothesis-driven research and conducting biological experiments involving q-PCR, flow cytometry, and LC-MS/GC-MS techniques.
