Xiaoning Ding serves as the Head of U.S. Research & Engineering for IaaS AI Infra at ByteDance since May 2021, leading initiatives in cloud infrastructure. Prior to this role, Xiaoning held multiple positions at Futurewei Technologies, Inc. from November 2015 to May 2021, including Technical VP, where responsibilities encompassed managing a cloud infrastructure group and overseeing large-scale compute and AI/GPU cluster projects. Xiaoning also chaired the Technical Steering Committee for project Centaurus at the Linux Foundation. Earlier experience includes a tenure at Microsoft from August 2007 to November 2015, focusing on SQL Server services and real-time analytics in Azure. Xiaoning holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
