Yang Liu

Yang Liu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of machine learning and AI, having served as a Senior Research Engineer and Tech Lead at ByteDance from December 2020 to January 2024, where responsibilities included leading a team focused on safety, security, and privacy in large language models (LLMs) and AI agents. Prior to this role, Yang Liu worked as a Research Engineer at Tencent from January 2019 to December 2020, specializing in the development of privacy-preserving AI model training systems. Yang Liu holds a PhD in Distributed Computing and Machine Learning from The Australian National University and a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.
