Dr Ankur Narang

Dr Ankur Narang has a wealth of experience in the technology and decision sciences industry. Starting in 1997, they have worked at Sun Microsystems as a Member Technical Staff and Lead, where they were responsible for research lead roles in backend of parallelyzing compiler including partitioning, routing and scheduling algorithms. Dr Ankur also developed multiple patents on emulation and backend compilation and linking, as well as a top-level area routing algorithm design and development for UltraSparc microprocessor. In 2003, they worked at Mentor Graphics as a Senior Manager, followed by Atrenta in 2005 as a Senior Manager. From 2007 to 2014, they worked at IBM Research as a Senior Research Scientist and Manager, High Performance Analytics, where they were responsible for research leader roles for High Performance Analytics group and Natural Resources - Oil/Gas Industry. Dr Ankur also developed parallel algorithm design and optimization for large scale clusters, supercomputers, and GPU based hybrid architectures. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Mobileum as the Associate Vice President - Data Science and Chief Data Scientist. In 2016, they moved to Sagacito Technologies as the Chief Technology Officer, where they led innovations in pricing and revenue management using machine learning, optimization, game theory, and AI. Finally, in 2017 they joined Yatra Online Pvt Ltd as the Senior Vice President - Technology & Decision Sciences and Head - Yatra Labs. In 2021, they joined ByteLearn as the Cofounder and Advisory Board Member, and in 2022 they joined AIM Leaders Council as a Member.

Dr Ankur Narang received their Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1994. Dr Ankur then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University between 1998 and 2000. Afterwards, they returned to the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi to complete their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science in 2011. Dr Narang's educational background also includes schooling from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Delhi and DPS RK Puram / BVB.
