Jo Schaffer Layton is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in literacy promotion and creative writing. Currently serving as the Chief Growth and Development Officer, Founder, Executive Board Member, and Executive Director of Communications at Operation Literacy since 2009, Jo has played a key role in supporting literacy through educational programs. As a YA author and writer for various companies including Owl Hollow Press, LLC, Martian Studios, and BYU Broadcasting, Jo is also involved in screenwriting and script development. Jo co-founded and directs communications for the Teen Author Boot Camp, a nonprofit organization aimed at enhancing literacy and creative writing skills among teens. Former positions include roles at ACH Fulfillment, Gateway Literary, and Schaffer Studios. Jo holds two Bachelor's degrees in Public Relations/Marketing and Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Brigham Young University.
