BZRD Systems develops passive drone detection technology designed for military and national security applications. Our mission is to provide soldiers with a lightweight, deployable capability to identify and track drone threats without emitting signals that reveal their position.

Founded through Virginia Tech's Hacking for Defense program and supported by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) Commercialization Fellowship, BZRD Systems works directly with military operators to develop solutions informed by real-world operational challenges. Through customer discovery efforts across the United States and Europe, including engagements with soldiers at Rose Barracks, Germany, we have refined our technology around the needs of the modern battlefield.

We are building the next generation of passive, soldier-focused counter-UAS awareness tools that integrate seamlessly with existing military workflows, including ATAK, to enhance situational awareness and force protection.
