D'Annette Roy

D'Annette Roy, J.D., currently serves as the Director of Legal Affairs & Business Risk Management at C-SPAN since May 2022. Previously, D'Annette held the position of Manager, Standards and Practices at BNC, where responsibilities included overseeing standards for various media platforms, advising on ethics training, and providing legal support for production. D'Annette's experience also encompasses roles as a Legislative and Policy Advisor at the DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment, an independent consultant, and several positions within the broadcasting industry, including news producer at CTV NEWS and digital media producer for Discovery Communications. D'Annette holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Emerson College.
