Brian Davis has a diverse and extensive work experience. Brian is currently the Chief Executive Officer of C2X, a company focused on accelerating the availability of green methanol. Prior to this role, they were a Senior Advisor in the Energy Transition sector. Brian also served as the EVP and Chief Commercial Officer at Marathon Petroleum Corporation. Before that, they worked as a Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group. Brian's long tenure at Shell included various leadership roles such as Global Vice President for Energy Solutions and Group Vice President for Corporate Strategy. Brian also held positions in Base Chemicals, Downstream Strategy, Refining and Supply Strategy, and Supply and Trading. Brian'searly career was spent at Shell as well.
Brian Davis attended James Ruse High School from 1978 to 1983. Brian then went on to study Chemical Engineering at the University of Sydney from 1983 to 1987, earning a BE (Hons) degree.

C2X
C2X is a new company aiming to make a significant contribution to a fossil-free future by accelerating the availability of green methanol in large quantities. C2X will develop, own and operate green methanol production facilities in strategic locations, which will serve to de-fossilise the chemical and shipping sectors. The venture is majority owned by A.P. Moller Holding with A.P. Moller – Maersk as minority owner.
