Boping Chen is currently the China Director at C40 Cities and has held various leadership roles in environmental initiatives over the years. Previously, they served as the China Director for the World Future Council from 2015 to 2019 and were responsible for developing the organization’s program on sustainable cities. Chen also worked as Director of Policy and International Strategy at WWF China from 2013 to 2015, and as an Interim Leader and Footprint Policy Program Manager at WWF from 2010 to 2013. Their earlier experience includes acting as Assistant Chief Representative at the Dexia Banking Group's Beijing office from 2006 to 2008. Chen is currently pursuing a master's degree in Resource and Environmental Economics at 中央民族大学.
