Emma Goddard is an experienced urban planning professional currently serving as the Urban Planning & Adaptation Integration Manager at C40 Cities since February 2023. Prior to this role, Emma held positions at Arup from September 2019 to December 2022 as a Planning Consultant and Graduate Planner, and completed a full-time secondment as Project Manager for Climate Change at Surrey County Council, focusing on the council's Climate Change Strategy and net-zero carbon goals. Earlier in Emma's career, experience included working as a Junior Forest and Land Use Advisor at South Pole and a Policy Research Intern at Concejo de Medellin. Emma holds a Master's Degree in Environment and Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a degree in Geography from the University of Oxford, complemented by a strong foundational education at St Paul's Girls' School.
