Wireless Engineer at CA Engineering

Ryan May has a long history of working in the technology field. Ryan began their career in 1997 as a Systems Administrator at Brigham Young University (BYU). In 1998, they moved to Xactware as an IT Developer, where they worked with Oracle, MS SQL Server, C, Visual Basic, and various computer telephony hardware and software systems. In 1999, they were an Intern at NTT Software in Japan, working in a Japanese-language environment doing Oracle database programming in C for NTT Communications' OCN system. Ryan then moved to Verio in 2000, where they managed web hosting and database servers at remote datacenters in California, Virginia, England, and Germany. In 2005, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Murata Machinery USA, Inc., developing control software for automated materials handling systems (AMHS) on AIX and Windows, with a focus on network communications. In 2015, they joined CA Engineering as a Wireless Engineer, developing and testing software for embedded wireless communication devices, with a current focus on embedded IoT devices using IEEE 802.15.4 networks.

Ryan May obtained their BS in Computer Science from Brigham Young University between 1991 and 1998. Ryan then went on to obtain their MS in Physics (Instrumentation) from the University of Utah between 2001 and 2005.
