Drew Barries has over fifteen years of experience in the engineering field. Drew began their career in 2004 as a Systems Analyst for DOE NETL - Sextant-Technical. In 2006, they moved to DOE NETL - Parsons as a Controls Engineer, where they were the Project Manager and Lead Instrumentation and Controls Engineer responsible for design, conceptualization and complete check-out and acceptance of all Safety Instrumented system process control system PLCs. In 2007, they were the Site Lead for WSGI. From 2008 to 2011, they were a Plant Engineer, Equipment Owner and EH&S Specialist for Duke Energy. Drew then worked as a Hardware and Software Controls Engineer for Rolls Royce Energy Systems Inc from 2011 to 2013. After that, they were a Project Engineer for Yokogawa Corporation America from 2018 to 2020. Drew is currently a Manufacturing Systems Engineer for Caban Systems since 2022.
Drew Barries obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University in 2000. In 2014, they obtained a Functional Safety Engineer certification from TUV Rheinland.
