Lydiah Gatere

Lydiah Gatere (PhD) is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in climate-resilient agriculture, soil health management, and biodiversity conservation. Currently serving as a Climate Change Specialist at CABI, Lydiah leads initiatives to promote sustainable soil management and enhance soil information systems. They completed their PhD in Biogeochemistry, Soil Fertility, and Nutrition at Cornell University, where they also earned a Master's Degree in International Agriculture and Rural Development. Lydiah has held various leadership roles, including Director of Soil Health Management at Wakulima Link, where they focused on innovative technologies and capacity building for smallholder farmers.
