Chiara Marcozzi

Chiara Marcozzi is a highly experienced researcher in the field of cell biology, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at CABIMER since December 2019, focusing on the Spindle Assembly Checkpoint during cell division. Previously, Chiara was a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Institute of Cancer Research and completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge, where Jonathon Pines's laboratory research centered on cell division mechanisms. Chiara's early career included internships at Horizon Discovery, CABIMER, and the University of Cambridge, where foundational projects explored protein targeting, tubulin acetylation, and degradation kinetics in cellular processes. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies, and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
