Daniel Rico

Daniel Rico serves as the Group Leader at the Andalusian Centre for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CABIMER) since October 2023, focusing on computational biology, epigenomics, evolution, and disease. Prior to this role, Daniel held various academic positions at Newcastle University from September 2016 to October 2023, including Senior Lecturer and Research Group Leader, where Daniel led the Computational Epigenomics laboratory. Daniel's earlier experience includes significant roles at the CNIO - Spanish National Cancer Research Centre as a Staff Scientist and Postdoc Researcher, and lecturing in bioinformatics at Instituto de Salud Carlos III. Daniel's educational background features a PhD in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Biotechnology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
