Ruoyu Sun

Principal Architect

Ruoyu (Roy) Sun is an experienced professional in electrical, electronics, and communications engineering, currently serving as Principal Architect and Lead Architect at CableLabs since March 2018, where involvement includes contributions to the Wireless Technologies Team and participation as a 3GPP RAN4 delegate. Prior experience includes roles as an Electronics Engineer at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, contributing to the Wireless Metrology Group, and positions at ST-Ericsson, Motorola, and T3G Technologies, where responsibilities spanned system engineering, software testing, and system integration. Ruoyu Sun holds a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina and another Ph.D. from Ohio University, alongside a master's degree from Beijing Jiaotong University and a bachelor's degree from Tianjin University.
