Steve Higgins serves as the Director of Strategic Planning & Metrics at CableLabs since September 2016, following a role as Principal Architect/Director of Advanced Data Analytics at Time Warner Cable. In that position, Steve managed a team of over 29 engineers to develop and implement Big Data Analytics for TWC’s IPTV Video Product. Previously, Steve was a Principal Architect/Senior Director at CableLabs, contributing to technological advancements and business development initiatives. Steve's extensive background includes serving as Senior Director of CDN Software Development at Level 3 Communications, where the focus was on internal software solutions for broadcast and streaming services, and as Principal Architect & Senior Manager at Concert Global Services, overseeing vendor management and voice recognition technology. Steve also held the title of Manager of Software Development at MCI Communications, where project leadership led to the successful launch of a long-distance voice product. Steve holds a BS in Engineering from Virginia Tech.
