Ping Zhang has over 25 years of work experience in various roles in the rubber and materials industry. Ping started their career in 1994 as a Research Associate at Pirelli Tyres and then moved on to Owens Corning in 1996, where they worked as an Advanced Scientist. In 1997, they joined Cabot Corporation as a Research Associate and later became a Principal Engineer at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in 2002. Ping then worked at Huadong Rubber Materials Co. as a Technical Services professional before returning to Cabot Corporation in 2010 as a Lead Scientist. Throughout their career, Ping has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of rubber and materials.
Ping Zhang has a diverse education history with various degrees in different fields of study. In 1978, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Rubber Science and Engineering from South China University of Technology. Ping then pursued further education and completed a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics at the University of Michigan from 1985 to 1986. Ping continued their studies at the same institution and earned a second Master of Science degree, this time in Materials Science and Engineering, which they completed in 1988. To further enhance their knowledge and expertise, they pursued a Ph.D. at Penn State University from 1988 to 1993, specializing in the field of Polymer Science, specifically focusing on Surface and Interface Science.
