Kumar Rajan

Kumar Rajan founded Cimsoftek in 1992 before merging the operations with Compunix, Inc. to form CCE in 2000. Before founding Cimsoftek, Kumar was the Director of Software Development at the U.S. unit of Dassault Systems, one of the leading providers of CAD/CAM/CAE products. He was one of the earliest developers of CATIA, working at the Paris headquarters of Dassault Systems. Kumar assisted with merging the combined strengths of Cimsoftek and Compunix in CAD data interoperability to develop and market products and technologies used by a number of leading corporations and independent software vendors (ISVs) worldwide. Today, he plays the dual role as CEO and CTO, setting the strategy for software development at CCE. Kumar received his dual Masters degrees in Computer Science and in Chemical Engineering, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), in Troy, NY, and Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras, India.
