Bas Koomen

Bas Koomen is the Technical Director at Cadmes, where they are responsible for technical operations across the organization and previously oversaw its technology vision and roadmap. With a strong background in mechanical engineering, Bas holds a PhD from the University of Twente and has taught courses in statics, mechanics of materials, and finite element analysis. They have extensive experience in consulting and project management within the CAD/CAM and PDM domains, having worked at Cadmes BV since 1996. Additionally, Bas actively volunteers with the FIRST program, inspiring young people through initiatives such as FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Robotics Competition.
