Peter Weiss

Peter Weiss has extensive experience in aviation safety and regulatory affairs, currently serving as Advisor to the Director of Regulatory Affairs at CAE since December 2016. From January 2013 to November 2016, Weiss worked as an Aviation Safety Expert for the ASEAN Air Transport Integration Project. Previous positions include Technical Director for the EU-SAARC Civil Aviation Programme and Project Coordinator for the International Civil Aviation Organization, where Weiss managed assistance projects to enhance the Philippine Aviation Authority. Weiss also contributed as a Long Term Expert in the EU/SA-SEA Civil Aviation Project, providing training and guidance to civil aviation authorities and airlines across 15 Asian countries. In the early 2000s, Weiss held roles as a Senior Consultant and Quality & Safety Instructor, and served as VP OPS and deputy CEO at Gulf Air, implementing JAA regulatory frameworks. Weiss completed studies at Freie Universität Berlin from 1985 to 1988.
