Rob Boyle has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Rob started their career in 2000 at QinetiQ as an Experimental Flight Test Engineer, providing technical support for the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. Rob also worked on multiple fast jet types, evaluating systems compliance for the UK MoD. In 2006, they joined Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group as the Lead Experimental Flight Test Engineer and later became the Head of Flight Test Engineering. During this time, they led complex flight test activities and developed experimental aircraft equipment. In 2014, they founded Pi&Bash>_ and created an add-on board for the Raspberry Pi computer. In 2015, they worked at Amazon as the Chief Unmanned Air Vehicle Test Operator for the Prime Air drone delivery program, obtaining regulatory approvals and setting operational standards. In 2016, they returned to Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group as the Head of Engineering for the Military Aerospace Projects and was later promoted to Programme Director, responsible for the delivery of fleet sustainment projects. In 2018, they joined Caeli Nova as the Chief Technology Officer, leading the development of new patented technology for aerospace and other industries. Most recently, in 2022, they became an Advisor at IONA, a company working on innovative drone delivery solutions.

Rob Boyle's education history includes the following:

- In 1996, they started attending the University of Warwick, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering. Rob completed their degree in 1999.

- In 2004, Rob Boyle enrolled in The Empire Test Pilots' School and participated in the Graduate Flight Test Engineer program, which they completed within the same year.

- Also in 2004, they started studying at Cranfield University, earning a Postgraduate Certificate in Flight Dynamics. Rob remained at Cranfield University until 2007.

Additionally, Rob Boyle has obtained several certifications throughout their career:

- In December 2004, they became an Experimental Flight Test Engineer after completing the program at The Empire Test Pilots' School.

- Rob Boyle was awarded the title of Chartered Engineer by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in June 2005.
