Paul Hummel

Paul Hummel, CFA, currently serves as a Senior Quantitative Strategist at Caerus Commodities since October 2024. Prior experience includes roles such as Senior Principal Quantitative Analyst and Financial Trading Strategies Architect at Equilibrium Energy, where Paul led a team in developing virtual strategies across four ISO markets. Previous positions at Bogle Investment Management involved co-managing a multi-billion dollar quantitative market-neutral equity hedge fund, as well as serving as a Partner, Portfolio Manager, and Research Analyst. Paul co-founded Inference Group LLC, instructing the asset management firm's focus on statistical arbitrage and tax-efficient index funds. Early career experiences include roles at Long-Term Capital Management as a Portfolio Strategist and at Raytheon as the Flight Control Systems Lead Engineer. Paul holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering also from Cornell.
