Fernando Chaves

Fernando Chaves, CFA has worked as an Executive Principal in various roles at CAF -banco de desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe-, including Operations Management, Investment and Structured Financing, and Credit and Investment Risk Management. Prior to their time at CAF, they served as a Teacher of Investment Projects at Universidad ORT Uruguay and a Financial Consulting Supervisor at CPA Ferrere. Fernando also held the role of Treasurer on the Board of Directors at the Uruguayan Wind Energy Association and worked as a Financial Advisor at WEIGEL HALLER.

Fernando Chaves, CFA, holds a degree in Contador Público (Licenciado en Administración) from Universidad de la República, which they obtained between 2002 and 2008. Fernando is also a CFA Charterholder from the CFA Institute. In addition, they have obtained several certifications in various fields including Project Finance, Data Literacy, Project Finance Foundations, Agribusiness Lending, and Risk Management in the Financial Sector.
