Marisol (Ma Soledad) Barrera is currently an Asesora Senior at CAF - banco de desarrollo de América Latina since 2021. They served as the President of the Board of Directors for Corporación Financiera Nacional from 2013 to 2017 and were also the first woman to hold this position in ALIDE from 2014 to 2017. They have contributed significantly as a member of the board for several organizations, including Banco Ecuatoriano de la Vivienda and Banco Central del Ecuador, and held the position of Directora Ejecutiva por Ecuador at the Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo from 2017 to 2018. Marisol has also been an invited lecturer at both Thunderbird School of Global Management and Universidad San Francisco de Quito. They earned an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Licenciatura in Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
