Oscar Guevara

Oscar Guevara is an experienced professional in sustainability, climate change, and disaster risk reduction. Currently serving as Ejecutivo Principal in the Dirección de Sostenibilidad, Inclusión y Cambio Climático at CAF - banco de desarrollo de América Latina since March 2021, Oscar also holds a lecturer position at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, teaching Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Adaptation since January 2013. Previously, Oscar worked with notable organizations such as the World Commission on Protected Areas and the World Wide Fund for Nature, where roles included Climate Change Specialist Group and Senior Director for Climate Change & Biodiversity, respectively. Oscar's academic background includes a PhD candidacy in Sustainability from UPC School and multiple degrees in disaster management, environmental economics, and civil engineering from prestigious institutions.
