Rasheed Hislop

Rasheed Hislop is an experienced professional in agricultural development and community outreach, currently serving as a Senior Manager and Farm to Market Specialist at Community Alliance with Family Farmers since August 2020. In this role, Rasheed focuses on increasing access to local products by collaborating with farmers, buyers, and food hubs, providing training and technical support on supply chain logistics and best practices. Additionally, Rasheed has been an Outreach Coordinator for the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation since October 2007, managing community gardens and public programs. Rasheed's educational background includes a Master of Science in International Agricultural Development from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Oberlin College. Other notable involvements include being a board member of the American Community Gardening Association and a member of the Food Systems Network NYC.
