Andy Colvin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at CAI since May 2024, Andy previously held the role of Associate Director of Manufacturing at Heron Therapeutics, where leadership of a cross-functional team focused on novel excipient production was key. Prior to that, experience as a Project Manager at Commissioning Agents allowed involvement in quality assurance, quality control, and manufacturing for various industry leaders. Andy began a career in scientific research at Siemens Healthineers, developing chromatographic methods for radiopharmaceuticals, and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, along with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Kingston University. Additional roles included positions as an Analytical Chemist and an Adjunct Professor, alongside service as an Intelligence Team Leader in the US Army.
