Senior Validation Engineer at CAI

Benson Ip has a diverse work experience in the field of validation and research. Benson started their career at McMaster University as a Research Associate, where they worked on research projects. Benson then moved on to Bio Agri Mix LP, where they served as a QC Technician, responsible for inspecting materials and performing root-cause analysis.

Following that, Benson worked at GeneHarbor (Hong Kong) Biotechnologies Ltd. as an Associate Scientist, conducting research on synthetic routes of enzymes and characterizing protein concentration. Later, they joined Apotex Pharmachem Inc. as a Lab Assistant, Research Associate, and Validation Associate, working on various projects related to validation and research.

Benson then joined Bay Area Research Logistics as a Validation Specialist, where they developed and executed validation deliverables for temperature-controlled storage areas and shipping processes. Benson also liaised with cross-functional departments and provided training on standard operating procedures.

Currently, Benson is working at CAI as a Senior Validation Engineer, responsible for developing the Site Validation Master Plan and providing validation strategies. Benson also acts as the CSV representative and ensures compliance with regulations.

Throughout their career, Benson has demonstrated expertise in validation, research, and quality control, following regulatory guidelines and working within established protocols.

Benson Ip earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from McMaster University, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. In addition to their undergraduate education, Benson has obtained several certifications related to project management and operational excellence. These certifications were received from LinkedIn in early 2022 and cover various topics such as business acumen, change management, stakeholder management, team management, project management mistakes, budgets, communication, ethics, integration, procurement, quality, risk, schedules, Six Sigma methodologies, driving measurable change, Lean Six Sigma tools, and operational excellence foundations and facilitation.
