Daniel Lecina

Daniel Lecina serves as the Head of Analytics Modeling and Lead Data Scientist at CaixaBank since July 2019, leading an advanced analytics team. Prior to this role, Daniel worked as a Data Scientist at CaixaBank and as a data science consultant at Knowledge Discovery and Predictions from September 2017 to July 2019, focusing on the banking sector. Daniel's academic background includes a PhD in Physics from Universitat de Barcelona, where research involved studying protein-ligand interactions using Monte Carlo methods, along with experience as a software developer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. Daniel holds a Master's degree in Computational and Applied Physics, a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, supplemented by a diploma in teaching abilities from Universitat de Barcelona and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
