David Fernandez

David Fernandez has extensive experience in structured and project finance, primarily focused on energy assets. David has worked as the Director of Structured & Project Finance at CaixaBank since January 2022, where they are responsible for originating, structuring, and executing structured finance deals. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President at CaixaBank from May 2017 to December 2021, where they led complex energy structured and project finance transactions. Before joining CaixaBank, David worked at BBVA for several years, where they held various roles including Vice President - Energy Structured & Project Finance and Senior Analyst - Structured Finance. At BBVA, they were involved in all aspects of structured finance transactions and had extensive knowledge of renewable energy assets, oil & gas, environmental projects, and conventional power. David also has experience as a Consultant Assistant at RISMA Consultants from September 1999 to March 2000.

David Fernandez obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in the years 1995-2000. David later pursued a Master's Degree in Finance at Leeds Beckett University from 2000-2001.
