Leonor Echevarria

Leonor Echevarria is the Head of European Public Affairs at CaixaBank since September 2018, previously serving as Senior Public Policy Manager in the Legal Department. Echevarria has an academic background as an Associate Professor at UCM and Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, teaching a course on "Lobbyism and public affairs." Prior experience includes roles as a Consultant in EU Law at Milieu Ltd, European Affairs Advisor at Consejo General del Notariado, and Financial Services Consultant at cabinet DN, with a focus on EU legislation in the financial sector. Echevarria began a career in legislative analysis as a Junior Researcher at The European Banking Federation and as a Junior Analyst at Grupo Santander. Echevarria holds a Master of Arts in EU Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe and a Master's degree in Law and Institutions from the University of Geneva.
