Marcus Dews

Marcus Dews has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Marcus began their career as a Trainee Chartered Accountant at HLB Kidsons in 2000 and worked there until 2002. Marcus then joined Lloyd & Co as a Senior Auditor from March 2003 to September 2004. In 2004, they moved to Ernst & Young as a Chartered Accountant, specializing in auditing complex group structures and dealing with UK/US GAAP. Marcus worked at Ernst & Young until November 2005. From November 2005 to June 2016, Marcus worked at FirstRand Bank Limited (London Branch) as the Head of Regulatory and Financial Reporting, where they managed a team and focused on regulatory reporting for various authorities. Their most recent role was at CaixaBank, where they started in August 2017 as the Head of Financial Reporting and Accounting.

Marcus Dews attended Kettlethorpe High School from 1990 to 1993 where they obtained their GCSE's. Marcus then attended New College, Pontefract from 1994 to 1995, specializing in A-levels in French, Spanish, History, and General Studies. Following this, they studied at Durham University from 1996 to 1999 where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Modern Languages.
