Togolese cashew nuts processing company established in 2004 operating two plants located in Togo's Central Region. Cajou Espoir is organic (Ecocert) as well as Fairtrade (Flocert)certified. The company sources raw cashew nuts from +5,000 local smallholder producers, of which +1,000 of them obtained the organic certification via Cajou Espoir's support / training. In addition, Cajou Espoir hires +700 workers at its plants, 70% being women. By producing locally, Cajou Espoir maximises value creation within Togo, enabling the company to improve its workers' livelihoods as well as the implementation of various social programs (nursery, child daycare, etc).
